Do you ever accidentally wander into a “fire,” or find you’ve been sucked into the middle of a situation that isn’t yours? Ugh! How do you deal with the drama you didn’t ask for?
Many times, we find ourselves drawn into someone else's drama and it really has nothing to do with us. As humans, we are wired for the Fight or Flight coping mechanism. In modern terms, that means you can choose to get involved in something that isn't yours, and suffer the blowback, or, simply recognize that the energy being stirred up belongs to someone else, and you can hand that back to them. You can gracefully step back from something that isn’t yours, put on your wings from your favorite winged creature, and rise above it. Take the observer’s perspective to see the whole picture-yes, it’s made up of the tiny details, but it’s not necessary to analyze every single one. Choose those parts of the story that are relevant and meaningful for you; leave the rest for the vultures!
